Red veil dark dagger is still a really good weapon IMO and covert lethality isn’t useless. But, if you want stealth finishers I heard hammers and heavy blades have a little higher innate finisher damage than other melee weapons. I agree finishers can prove a little troublesome - are you mainly doing front finishers (I'm guessing yes as Excal and Inaros were mentioned)? Moas for example can't be front finished (don't know if there are other enemies that exhibit this behaviour)
