Really enjoying them so far. I just started using the Equalizer APO software for Windows to tweak the sound and was wondering if anyone had some recommended EQ settings for the QC35s. For someone considering Bose QC earbuds, I say go for the Ultra...they offer everything the QC2s do, plus the immersive mode. In the US, the Ultras are $20 more than the QC2s and worth it for the immersive option. I haven't had a chance to use them for calls and meetings yet, but I will tomorrow. The final 901 was the series 6 MK2 which was different enough to require a different eq curve. Stereo Review also did a review on the Series V. It's available free on the internet. Like them or not, Bose sold a ton of them and made bank. As I said in the review, the distortion was measured without the EQ in-line.

The SB900 and SB600 are the new models with Atmos. They are both significantly more immersive when watching movies when compared to the outgoing SB700/500. This includes non-Atmos content. The beam 2 has no where near the sound quality of the SB700. The SB700 can also get significantly louder than the beam.

It was never about their sound quality, which is fine, but their ANC and comfort are stellar. Bose could fix things by letting people EQ the QC45, like they do with the NC700, but they’ve shown no interest in doing that. Even the QC earbuds aren’t the best sounding. They’re better than AirPods Pro’s but not as good as the Sony WF …

The cause of the problem is the microphone was dislocated from its attachment and it was touching the speaker causes high pitch or whistle.
