Then get a plate of flat 3/8 or 1/2" to make plates for the back side. You can then get a used or new, offshore mount, from hardin marine, or swap shop here. It bolts to the engine block, then gets bolted to the aluminum L brackets. Drop engine in, align, mark and drill your holes in the aluminum. For stock black production engines their gear oil does well. Their impellers some are the exact made as Merc but some are not. Sierra has so many impellers for a lot of models and makes. They buy from Johnson as well.
