There was an outage, and after the outage was fixed my modem no longer worked. Called and they sent me a tech who made me replace it. He said it happened to a ton of people in the area, and jokingly said that he thinks Comcast sends out a signal to kill everyone's modem on purpose so they can upsell them a new one and a more expensive plan.
