The difference comes in with the speed of the attacks and the ashes of war... i'd say Moonveil has a slight edge because of speed. But if your timing and spacing is good then Darkmoon Greatsword is better.

It doesnt, but it does affect the sword hit. If you dont know the darkmoon gs has two hitbox when you do a charge attack. First is the beam, and the second is the sword swing itself. Well I went through with it, and I prefer the bloodhound's fang. I fight a lot on horseback, and the grafted sword's speed while mounted is awful. Not great on foot either. It really seems like the fang does more damage per hit also. There's also the blood loss effect to take into account.
