Hey j-f, You don't need to take the radio apart to fix the battery issue. All you have to do is take the battery cassette apart & remove the small charging circuit board. EME mounts the carbs with the bolts in a vertical line where DLE mounts in a horizontal line. This means that if you turn the carb 180 and use a Pitts wrap around muffler, the needles are between the muffler and carb and impossible to access. With DLE the needles can be accessed from either side depending on how the carb is turned. First you will need some 87 octane gasoline mixed at the recommended rate with whatever break-in oil your engine manufacturer states. Here's a simple and fool proof method for adjusting the engine after that. Your Walbro carb has two needle valves. Adjust the high end, marked with an "H" until you get maximum rpm. Sounds like the Skywing has 8% less wing area and maybe about 0.5 to 1lb lighter.
