The servers are very unstable. We're now trying to enjoy ASA on non-dedicated private servers, but the tethering distance is making it unplayable, maxed out at 180 meters. I would love if you could up the tether distance higher so me and my friends can play non dedicated sessions without having to deal with the annoying tether distance. I know it has to do with performance so once that is sorted out it would be a nice change to see.
Tethering distance is clamped so even if you have set it to 5k, internally it still can't go pass the maximum value. There is no way of fixing this because that's how non dedicated sessions are designed. Dedicated server is the only way that can help. #4. Ages Feb 25, 2021 @ 2:28pm.

Yeah we set it to an absurd number, it was working earlier today but it doesn’t work anymore. 1. Run a different Device running the game and run the server through that. This obviously requires a second device, either an Xbox or a PC but either will work I'm sure depending on how many people are playing and the specs of the device. The worst part is that you need to own the game on a separate account to run the server.
