Spear is my least favorite weapon in the game. There isn't a single aspect I like, though I'm starting to (slowly) come around on Achilles. Technically speaking, fists is the worst because it has less range lol. Or maybe technically sword because fists can get long knuckle to outrange sword. There are so many builds it's hard to say. General rule of thumb is to go Zeus/Dioynsus for fast attacks, Artemis/Aphrodite/Athena for higher base damage attacks, and Ares doom for something in between. So Zeus might be useful for attack (especially if you get the Flurry Jab hammer) and Ares/Zeus for the special.
