We visited Leland Snowplay as a family with a young child. The place was swamped since it was a holiday weekend. The ticket lines were not too long though, but mind you the lines are same for tickets, food or purchasing gloves/shoes. We liked the slopes for tubing. They were well maintained and the big slopes were a lot of fun for us.

Leland Snowplay is perfor for that. My kids are 6 and almost 3 and we went this year and 2 years ago. It had more to do for them then at a couple of places at Tahoe last year. About 3 hours from the South Bay with no traffic and east driving.Mountain in Strawberry, CA
