In order to get all of this destruction done, he winds up with all the major powers in the world landing in Israel – and Israel is in a bloodbath. Now, in the midst of this bloodbath, Jesus Christ arrives. And believe me, there are some subjects left for His kingdom. And He arrives in glory and power.The wrath of God is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. And we’re going to see it over and over again in chapter 2, and in chapter 3, that God’s righteousness or God’s judgment is a righteous judgment. We are described in verse 15 as “children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse [nation],” and we also are described as “lights in the world.”. So we are given two designations. First, we are “children of God.”.
