My stepson was given a Glenfield model 30A by his grandparents. the rear leaf sight is horrible and we had to remove the elevator completely to get it to shoot. What options for sights are available? Looking for something adjustable but would prefer to keep open/aperture sights. Don't really want to scope it. Hello, this is my JM stamped Glenfield 30A which is basically a Marlin 336 but with a cheaper stock and its in great condition. By my research it was made in 1973 based on the serial number. There is still plenty of rifling left so it hasn't been used that much. It comes with a Japanese made scope that is Glenfield branded and is very clear.
