This presents an issue for traditional anti-aliasing solutions, as the way deferred rendering layers each frame, it immediately defeats the anti-aliasing as it's applied, essentially rendering over it, leaving us with jagged edges again, so it appears as if it hasn't done anything, as it simply isn't applying any AA to the geometry or the shading.
Right now it's safe to use, but nothing stops that guy from making it unsafe again, as very recently he still defends his actions and sees himself as having done nothing wrong, so he'll likely do it again in the future.
