Yeah its just flat out stupid, I had a 30 gallon fish tank when I was kid with a filter and everything with like 7 gold fish. They lived for like 7-8 years surprisingly and they really didn't require much maintence all things considered but its just people treating pets/animals as objects and vanity items rather than living creatures that make it so frustating.
