Feb 18, 2023 · If you want to get real fancy you can use the Cheely L2 commander grip in aluminum. It flush fits 120mm C2 mags with a full length mainspring housing. This can also be done with the stock glass reinforced polymer Staccato grip by notching it. I find the P 126mm grip difficult to conceal on my frame.

The tapered mags on the 2011 along with the much bigger magwell make magazine insertion a breeze. Between the two it is a wash as to which is faster/easier. As far as size goes, the guns are virtually identical. The tactical magwell on the STI makes the Staccato thicker in that area but to this point it has not lead to any additional printing.

I have never noticed a big difference in the Gen1 vs. Gen2 grip. The difference when using skate board tape or having a "golf ball" textured grip doesn't make much difference in my shooting performance.
