I went for it myself and regretted it. You'll get a fancy certificate, admission to some pretty lame social events, and the chance to win at best a $1000 scholarship.

That being said, it is basically nothing. It will do nothing tangible to help you. You have some scholarship access, but it's my understanding that it isn't significant.
