The 92A1 is very nice. The only thing it really needs is the checkering from the M9A1, not sure why they didn't carry that over. No it does not have the metal parts but the polymer coated parts. The 92A1 slide won't fit on a normal M9 frame, but a normal M9/92 slide will fit on a 92A1 frame. I have mine setup with Wilson goodies.The M9A3 grip covers are also very thin from side to side. It's thin both ways basically. They're actually 100% compatible with the standard M9/92FS frame, but because there is no bulge at the bottom of the grip on the Vertec frame it won't contour perfectly.
