I had a similar problem about the coolant a couple of years ago and it was that small hose leaking a little.

Touch one, the inlet, it should be hot. The other should be hot too if the coolant is going through the heater core.Replace the radiator cap and keep a consistent eye on the temp gauge. I have a pressure tester but it will not connect to the coolant tank. That is where the radiator cap is located. It is the type where you push down and thread it on the tank.
