Description. At first level a Ranger selects a type of creature from the favored enemy list. At 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th) the Ranger selects an additional creature type from the favored enemy list. When fighting a Favored Enemy, you gain +2 Damage for each Favored Enemy feat you have.

Alternative idea: Take 2 levels of Artificer and 18 Wizard. For the 1st 6 - 10 lvls, you can use the repeater for great effect. (Repeaters are really good till about 8th lvl) After which, you can take your Single-Weapon feats all the way up, allowing you to use a Runearm instead of an Orb.
