Truck runs cross country towing 12k cargo trailer with 215,000 miles. In the past month, when I’m downshifting using the exhaust brake to slow down, it will jump to 4th gear and stay there. I’ll pull over, shut the truck off, restart and take off again and it’s back to normal. Sometimes this happens once a week, sometimes twice a day.

So if you use a 2011+ solenoid (or trans) in a 2007-2010 truck, you will blow continual P0760 (OD Solenoid Circuit) faults, since in the newer solenoid module there IS NO OD SOLENOID. So that would be my first suspicion. The 2011+ solenoid module has a GRAY wiring connector. The 2007-2010 style solenoid has a WHITE wiring connector.
