Personally, I do recommend reading the psych/soc book and then reading the 300 pg doc just because the doc is a hard read without some background knowledge.

For p/s I read the 80 pg doc straight through in week and a half. Then, I started Jacksparrow anki and referred to 300 pg doc for cards I didn't understand. I've learned the whole deck and now I'm at about 60% matured. I'll be at 100% by my test date in March! supplementing the 80 pg doc with KA videos on 2x speed is the move. i used 300 pg doc.I literally only studied using Anki from the Ortho deck and the Miledown deck for this section. I didn't even read the Kaplan book or the Khan academy 300-page document. These decks were fairly comprehensive and you can essentially tackle every single term you need in the matter of a couple of committed days.

Therefore, for all you lazy OCD MCAT'ers just like me, I've managed to make the KA P/S 100 page document originally created by u/snowyrox to a slightly more reasonable 86 page document. Well, I'll be honest, I appreciate the 300-page doc, but I hated reading it and never finished it. This is apparently really common on this sub, which is a large part of why I now recommend the 80-page doc over the 300-page one, and Anki decks above both. As far as the research methods, I don't have a really great comprehensive resource for them.

Here is the break down of the 300 page doc into the categories outlined by AAMC that the JS deck follows for P/S. I'm going through the document and then doing the related Anki deck afterwards, so knowing where I need to read to before starting Anki is crucial.If youre crunched on time and just want to get the main points (high yield), then 86 doc is probably sufficient.
