Over the past week dolphin fishing has been pretty solid. The best dolphin reports seem to be coming in roughly 600-800' of water. Depth has varied depending on water conditions. Trolling small ballyhoo, bonita strips, or squid remains the best bet on the dolphin. Inside of 300' the sailfish have started to bite a little better.

The Juno Beach Pier has been holding a fair number of whiting and croaker this week. Small pieces of fresh shrimp are the top bait choice for both. Most of the dolphin have been in open water or on current rips in small packs. Floating debris will hold them as well; but for the most part it will be smaller packs of fish and not large schools. Starting to see more and more sheepshead around inshore, along with a few black drum. Boat docks, seawalls, and bridges with barnacle growth and some current will be the best bet for the sheepshead. Live shrimp is the bait of choice. Best depth remains 150-250ish' depending on current and water conditions. As always look for current rips, color changes, and large areas of bait when setting up your drifts. Mixed in with the sailfish have been a few nice dolphin and a scattered wahoo or two as well. Kingfish remind scattered along the 120' ledge in decent numbers.

Bluefish action remains good; with an assortment of lures and cut baits working for them. Spanish Mackerel are also around and biting white crappie jigs well.
