I think that a person who is a good test taker at baseline (as most, but not all of us are by the time we get to ABIM) and is a person who can learn well from QBanks and compressed info like UW and MKSAP texts, then yes, doing well on those should be good enough. Same is likely true for most of the other tools/QBanks/Courses discussed here.

Thanks. I did all of that years MKSAP and I did about 2/3 of UWorld for the ABIM exam. UWorld is trickier but helps hammer in some of the more difficult concepts. Passed quite comfortably and probably overdid it in the end. The only book I read was the Board Basics book that came with MKSAP (which is gold).

When studying for my boards a couple years ago I did both the mksap and UWorld question banks. MKSAP tested on so much useless knowledge that was way beyond the scope of IM (sooo much detailed chemo regimens). UWorld on the other hand was very high yield. I read plenty of other things all the time, but specifically for this test the uworld database was sufficient and I passed by a large margin. That's all I'm doing. I've had attaendings say they passed comfortably on uworld alone. Yup, just do Uworld.That was more than enough. The most important thing is to afford yourself enough time. A little bit of daily studying starting NOW is way better than a week's worth of dense review. In my case, I started doing a few questions (5-10 daily) from MKSAP about this time last year. I had completed about 75% of MKSAP by the end of residency.ANKI Deck for ABIM, MKSAP and UWorld for ABIM. New Clinical Deck. No such decks exist based on my knowledge. Otherwise Uworld can be helpful, and I would consider the Board Basics book from MKSAP even if you’re not finding the qbank helpful. I did awesome review and I took the in-person course. It was helpful along with Board Basics and MKSAP.
