Its nice to see a measured opinion. I think people want it to be good to such an extent that they aren't willing to accept that the current team is creatively bankrupt. Its not like they've got a new team of writers in since SL and the start of DF screams to me that they have run dry in the ideas department. It’s interesting though, because other people have been treated as scapegoats for the game when they left. Jeff Kaplan left, and you could argue everything going wrong with Overwatch at the time was his doing because he led the team.

Fel magic is just magic that needs life or souls to fuel it, hence why a lot of the warlock spells are also based on necromancy. Drain life, drain soul, seed of corruption, curses and what not are all necromanctic magic.
