Honda accord whining noise when starting.

3 posts · Joined 2017. #1 · May 12, 2017. I have a 2008 Honda Accord V6 with 178,000 miles. I have never had a problem with my car beside the TPMS light which is not a big deal. About two month ago my car started making a rattling noise when I cranked it up in the morning, but went away in like 10 mins. I was told through a Diagnostic Test by ...IANS19832. Car listed above is an i4. Having an issue with the transmission, constant whine from engine start through park, neutral, 1,2 and 3rd. Goes away when it shifts to 4th and 5th. Its an automatic. Had an issue where it wasn't shifting right, cleaned solenoids A, B and C, not shifting issue went away. Solenoid tube mesh was blocked.The issue: For about 6 months the engine makes a consistent whining noise including at idle, revving in neutral, as well as under load at all rpms and at all temperatures. The noise increases and gets more high pitched with increasing rpms. Cliff Notes: -New power steering pump. -New alternator. -New timing belt idler pulley.2004 Honda Accord. Then when I turn off the car a high pitch squealing starts for about 3-5 seconds from engine. I assume it is from built up air.
