Buffalo River Chert is one of the many Ft Payne formation cherts, so it's not uncommon for there to be a lot of similarities. Type, I think you are in the right age range of Early Archaic. First up a 3" Turkey Tail Beautiful Fort Payne material. In the mottling there is a hint of blue. Next up is a blade that was described as a Tennessee River Knife sure is sweet four inches long. It has a pretty good deposit of Caliche along one edge. You can see the blueish hues in the mottling on the Fort Payne.
