Received 14 Likes on 14 Posts. Torque Converter Shudder Fix Update. I recently had a problem with torque converter "shudder" Folks, it ain't the converter that does it. It's the control solenoid, valve or whatever controls it. I added a bottle of Lucas Transmission treatment a month or so ago. The shudder stopped immediately.

I don't know about the 6R80 but on the previous models with 4R75 a converter was around $700 and installation would probably run in the neighborhood of $500-$750 depending on shop and labor rates. Circle D has only made 2 convertors for the ecoboost f150 of which nether have been to the track. The convertor in the 4wd is the same part name as the 2wd but the 2wd won't foot brake what the 4wd can.
