Gmc acadia shift to park fix.
I have had it on my '18 twice. First time the fix, per GM TSB, was to add a portion of wiring harness. That fix only lasted about a month. Next time, the dealer replaced the shifter assembly. So far so good. The work around is pretty simple. Put it in park and a quick flick of the shifter button will clear the message. Annoying but not a big deal.

Maybe your mechanic isn't equipped to handle it. Hopefully, you bought the correct product. This refrigerant isn't compatible with R134a.

Jun 27, 2018 · The "shift to park" message appears as soon as you attempt to power off the vehicle (see attached photo). Instead of bumping the handle I have been testing holding my foot on the brake pedal and wiggling the shifter handle then release both every few seconds. Then the message goes away 5-10 seconds later.
The fix. So the micro switch has two wires going to it, a blue wire, and a black ground wire. When out of gear, the switch is open, when in park and the release button disengaged, the switch gets shorted to ground. These colors change at the harness connector, to black and purple with white stripe.
