Bill, a few weeks ago I hit a gun show looking for a 30 Gen 3 and ended up with a used 30SF Gen 3. A friend from work has a 30S. We went to the range and we each shot two magazines from both the 30SF and 30S and I felt the recoil with Winchester White Box range ammo was a little more noticeable in the 30S I was a bit surprised 3 oz. was really much if any difference.It feels better than the XDM, it doesn't feel like a Coke Can (Glock 30s grip) and it doesn't have that ridiculous looking base pad on the magazine that the Glock 30 mags use.
