Think big with assembly lines and don't research anything unrelated. It can help if you have ready blueprints, then just place buildings over their ghosts. You can go as far as making a preview run of the base in editor mode and tweak it to optimal layout. Then make blueprints and start over. 1.

In 1.0 you can do that in 103. But you can use the guide with hand crafting if you want to just launch a rocket before 8h.
