Life ring+2 and +3 help with the survival as well. I personally on my ultra build I use the stamina ring, third, Royal soldier and life +2 on my current non DLC using char. You could simply switch stamina ring for RoB+2 and you would be fine. Or you could go full counter and use yorgh, torns , sun and TDR.
