Chaos Reach is good as a pocket machine gun- it's a ranged super, so it's reasonably safe to use, and it does do enough damage that you'll vaporize red bars and majors. Use arc souls to bump your team's damage when it's time to DPS something, and just use your heavy and special ammo for damage.
