The Lich mythic path is very strong, it's just that the actual Lich transformation late in the game feels very bad. You strive towards the transformation throughout the whole game and then, in the end, this big moment just makes you lose character power.

Nope, a Lich only needs said item to be "re-formed" AFTER having been killed. Just destroying it doesn't kill the Lich, it merely prevents the Lich from coming back after you'd eventually kill it. Then that begs the question, if it's destroyed and we survive, what stopping us from creating a new one.

I have checked gear, feats and mythic talents. Additionally none of my allies have abilities that change my Lich spell damage types. I think it has to be a bug or something very odd. It just really sucks because lots of those lich spells have no SR and do straight unholy or negative damage- carried me through a bunch of fights.Depends on the Lich's class and party meshup. All undead companions are either melee or ranged focused. Angel has more party support (unless you run only graveguards, and even then I would put Angel on top) and better immunities, lich has vampiric blade which is just broken good for a level 4 spell. Vampiric blade should probably be a level 9 spell, that's how good it is.
