First the ATV was running, giving a little starting trouble and then just wouldn't start. After checking compression, it had about 30lbs. I changed the rings with stock rings and now it pumps up to about 80lbs.

Even with your new battery, like said above, I'd try a jump start from another 12 volt---Double check the voltage in the new battery---Check coil wires for tight/secure---If jump doesn't do it---Then try and spray a little starting fluid into the carbs and see if it tries to start.

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie here. I have had a kfx700 for a few years now with zero issues till now. I let it sit a year unused with gas in it and now nothing but issues. I took the carbs off and cleaned them as well as replaced the jet and gaskets. Also the valves got adjusted. The problem I'm having now is backfiring from the rear cylinder.2004 KFX400 wont idle.
