By now, most have heard of (or experienced) the "Benelli click" and the "Benelli thumb." Again, rather than fix these potential issues, Benelli again wants you to buy a brand new gun, the Ethos, which is too light and too expensive to have mainstream appeal. The standard Benelli Montefeltro and M2 models are classic fare and they rate as good guns.
The M2 holds four rounds to the five for the Silver and both can accept extensions. The Silver should also be a little better with lighter loads (bigger difference in 12 gauge). The Silver has a top locking lug and the M2 has a rotary bolt face. This makes the M2 longer overall with the same barrel lengths.Both the Mossberg SA-20 and the Weatherby Element are easy to load. But man the Price on the Franchi Elite is very reasonable. Franchi Affinity 3 vs Winchester SX4. I'm debating between these two for my new 12ga goose dropper. I've held the SX4 and liked the feel but can't find an Affinity 3 anywhere to try out. I would just go ahead and jump on the SX4 but I like the idea of the inertia system more. Surprisingly the swing on the lighter and shorter M2 was SMOOTHER than the A300. Without the extra weight I was quickly able to swing through the shot.
