The 6000 I have has been a very good tractor. Yes the pump was juiced up, and it does have a nicer seat than the factory. I did install hydrostatic steering, but over all it is one stronger puller. Comfortable to drive and very quiet. The brakes are very excellent, as good as my 4020 of the same age.

1980 Ford 6600 - Couple of problems. New to the forum, so hopefully this is in the right place. First problem. Ford 6600 leaks hydraulic fluid at the base of the steering column/plate. I read somewhere that this is a common problem and resolved with an O-ring.

The manual will show you where to install a tee and pressure gauge in the PS pressure line, and they tell you what the pressure the pressure should be. On my Ford (3600/3610 model) the pressure is supposed to be 700-800 psi at 1000 rpm. I don't know what your pressure should be, but probably about 1000psi @1000 rpm.
